 My Mom

My mom is a very special person to me and im not saying that my dad isn’t but my mom is like my best friend. She influenced my life by being a good mom. And even though my mom works a lot I know that she works very hard but she always makes time to spend with me no matter what. I don’t know what I would do without her she is a big piece of me. At times she can be a lot like a friend because I can talk to her about anything, but if I do something wrong she will correct me in a heart beat.

One way she is a good influence on me is because she always tells me don’t smoke, don’t drink, and she always tells me to think smart and not let peer pressure get to me and make me do something I don’t want to do, plus she says just because your friends are doing something doesn’t mean you have to do it.

Im really glad my mother is in my life because some kids have mothers that want nothing to do with them and aren’t in their life and im sure that’s really hard to cope with being a kid. At times my mom can be a good role model but she also tries to be the cool, hip, fun mom and she does make mistakes every once in a while.

I have a lot of friend around me but my mom I have to say is my best friend no matter what I know I can trust her with anything I need to let out or get off my chest or something I just have to tell my best friend. She influenced me because if I made a bad choice she will correct me in a positive way like she wouldn’t yell at me she would talk to me about what I did wrong.

She helps me because if I need someone to talk to or I need anything she always there. My mom didn’t actually come into my life I actually came into hers. Me and my mom will always have a good relationship because we have two different types of relationships we have a mother/daughter relationship and we have a friend relationship. And that’s why I love my mom to death.

I couldn’t live without her! She is very funny she loves to make jokes to a point. She is a very pretty woman. Some people say we look like twins and I very well agree. Another thing is I love to spend time with her. And that’s why my mom is the most important person in my life.

Accomplishments

Accomplishments

Passing the 8th grade was one of my biggest accomplishments because throughout the whole year I struggled with some different stuff. One of my biggest struggles was that I Had been going to Mariner Middle School but then I decided I wanted to move with my sister so the whole moving thing  messed me up because, New Castle Middle School had a way different curriculum then Mariner they were learning different stuff so I was passing all of my classes when I left Mariner but then when I got to Newcastle middle I started failing quiet a few of my classes such as math and language arts which are the two most important so I then tried to get help which didn’t work and the school said I was failing for the year so I was like what. Plus the fact that I was only there for two marking periods couldn’t make me think I was failing so I didn’t give up.

So I thought well then if I was doing better at mariner then maybe going back there would help me to passing the 8th grade. SO what I did was, I came down to visit my dad when  we started talking about me moving back So I decided for sure that it was the best thing for me so I came here and the first week I was back at mariner I went and talked to the guidance counselor ms. Colvin and I told her that I was very worried about failing and so she called my old school and seen if she could get my old report card but when they sent it the grades we needed to see was black so we called back the school and they walked around and got my grades.

So the next day she called me into her office so we could average out the grades and when we did  was passing all of my classes but she said if I didn’t keep my grades up to c’s or higher then I had a chance that I could fail.

Now I knew I needed a change I had to really put my heart to it and get down to business so I did. So just yesterday we got report cards and the guidance counselor had told me that when I got my report card to come down and show her so she could then average them grades into what we already had. She told me that in math I had to have a 73 or higher and when I looked at my report card im almost died I had got a 85 which is a B and I couldn’t believe it I was so proud of myself and when I showed her she was so happy for me so she averaged it out and now I almost have a c+ in her class so she said the last marking period I had to keep the math grade up and not slip back. And so if for sure I really want to pass I have to do good this marking period so she said that I have nothing to worry about so my dad will be really glad that I tried this hard. And that was my biggest accomplishments.
